Baking 101 - Butterscotch chip cookies


Butterscotch chip cookies


As youve noticed I usually use the same ingredients & instructions to make my dough and cookies ,I like my cookies chewy..


1 cup softened butter ( room temp,I added another 1/4 butter to achieved the cakey texture)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
11/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs ( room temp)
2 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
21/2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of baking soda

1 cup of butterscotch chips


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  • In a large mixing bowl,cream together the butter,sugars,eggs and vanilla

  • In a another bowl ,mix together the flour salt,baking powder and baking soda

combine the wet and dry ingredients

  • Stir in the butterscotch chips

  • With your fingers,place golf ball sized dough portions 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet ( you can use the ice cream scooper)

  • Bake for 9-10 minutes or just until the edges are light brown

Ingredients

1  cup softened butter ( room temp,I added  another 1/4 butter to achieved the chewy texture)

11/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs ( room temp)

1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips ( if you want more chocolate chip you can always add another cup)

1 cup of butter praline pecan




Instructions

  • In a another bowl ,mix together the flour salt,baking powder and baking soda

Christmas Wrapping ideas.


         This is the most exciting part for me during christmas, the wrapping of gifts! As Ive said I wanted a rustic theme for christmas this year so I chose mostly  gold,silver,red and green colours for this christmas!



Used plastic flowers as my accents.

Baking 101- Chocolate Crinkles




Perfect for christmas cookies!


Used cupcake toppers for accent.



                                                              Chocolate Crinkles



Original recipe makes 6 dozen


Ingredients

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder


2 cups white sugar


1/2 cup vegetable oil


4 eggs


2 teaspoons vanilla extract


2 cups all purpose flour


2 teaspoons baking powder


1/4 teaspoon salt


1/2 cup confectioner's sugar


Directions


1. In a medium bowl ,mix together cocoa, white sugar, and vegetable oil. Beat in eggs one at a time,then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour,baking powder,and salt;stir into the cocoa mixture.Cover dough , and chill for at least 4 hours.


2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F ( 175 degrees C). Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Roll dough into one inch balls. I like to use a number 50 size scoop. Coat each ball in confectioners' sugar before placing onto prepared cookie sheets.


3.Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. Let stand on the cookie sheet for a minute before transferring to wire racks to cool.
